What is Hot Mat Pilates?
Hot Mat Pilates is a mat-based Pilates class performed in a heated room, typically between 90–100°F (32–38°C). The heat helps to increase flexibility, improve circulation, and intensify your workout.
Do I need Pilates experience to join a class?
Not at all! Our classes are open to all levels. Instructors offer modifications for beginners and challenges for more advanced clients.
What should I bring to class?
A yoga or Pilates mat
A large towel (you will sweat!)
A water bottle
We also offer rentals and water for purchase at the studio.
What should I wear?
Wear breathable, moisture-wicking workout clothes (like leggings and a fitted tank). Avoid loose clothing as it can get uncomfortable in the heat.
Can I attend if I’m pregnant?
For safety reasons, we do not allow pregnant individuals to participate in Hot Mat Pilates classes due to the risks associated with exercising in high heat. We appreciate your understanding and recommend consulting your doctor for alternative prenatal exercise options.
How hot is the room?
Our studio is heated to approximately 92°F (33°C), with added humidity to enhance flexibility and detoxification.
How early should I arrive?
Please arrive at least 10–15 minutes before class, especially if it’s your first visit. This allows time to check in, settle in, and acclimate to the heat.
What if I feel lightheaded or overheated?
That’s totally normal at first. Listen to your body. You can always rest in child’s pose or step out briefly if needed.
How often should I practice Hot Mat Pilates?
Consistency is key. We recommend 2–4 times per week for best results, but even one class a week is a great start.
Can I book classes online?
Yes! You can book your classes through our website or mobile app Zen Planner. We also offer class packs and memberships for convenience. All classes are open to book 2 weeks in advance.
What’s your cancellation policy?
We require at least 12 hours’ notice for cancellations. Late cancels or no-shows will incur a fee and forfeit a class credit.
